Cricket can acquire data from virtually any source and any backup media, not just the usual backup tape media, Cricket can forensically acquire data from:

We use Veritas, Arcserve, Legato, Linux, and custom utilities for tape restoration. Damaged media is typically re-acquired, but we also utilize powerful software-based techniques to attempt to recover data.
Our system is compatible with industry standard Unix backup formats (TAR, dump, CPIO) and formats such as:

We use the tape indexes to both complete the restoration and provide the client with a catalog of files and directories that can be used as the basis for conducting selective restoration. |
